Hi this is Melissa Stuart and Jeanette Siciliano and we are starting this GOFUNDME for Keith Totten and his family.
On Friday April 7th Keith from Port Crane, NY was severely injured after being run over by a bulldozer at his construction job site in Binghamton, NY. He was airlifted to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY where he has underwent seven surgeries in a five week period already to repair his severely damaged leg, hip and pelvis. He is facing many more surgeries. Some of the skin grafts are not taking. At this point it is still unsure if he will keep his leg. He will remain under medical care until he is well enough to come home which may be quite a while and will be in a wheel chair during the healing process. He and his wife are hardworking people, and they have no idea if Keith will ever be able to return to work. His wife Elaine is not working and travels daily to help take care of Keith. The family will endure multiple expenses due to this life altering tragedy. They need help with the household bills, travel and lodging expenses, etc. Anyone who knows Keith and Elaine know how giving and helpful they are to their community.

Message from Emily Totten - “My Dad was always the provider and took care of everything for our family. Now at 20 years old I am the one who is reassuring him that things will be okay (hopefully) and I help my Mom and take care of the house.
It’s horrible seeing someone you love in the most excruciating pain and not be able to help ease it. He has always been extremely independent and now he has to lay in bed and have others take care of him.
Watching my Mom go through this trauma has also been very difficult. She goes to the hospital in Syracuse and spends the entire day there, comes home, sleeps and does it all over again every day. She is exhausted. She has to see the love of her life just lay in the hospital and hope and pray that he will be okay and be able to keep his leg. My Mom is still not able to work.
At the time of his accident we did not know if my Dad was dead or alive, only knowing that he was being airlifted to Upstate Medical and that was so traumatizing.
My Dad will have life long complications. We don’t know if he will be able to move or walk the same, but we just have to hope and pray for him and our whole family.”

Message from Myranda - "I am so worried about my Mom. It's been very difficult to see Keith going through so much pain. It breaks my heart. This is hard on my daughter, she loves to be on the boat with Poppy. She loves playing at the lake with him. We all miss him so much and just want the best for him. We are missing our family time togther, our special dinners and game night. I just want to thank all of you for your help."
