**Help Us Honor Keith Winfield: A Beloved Brother and Friend**

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of my oldest brother, Keith Winfield, on April 15th, 2024.

Keith fought a courageous battle with spinal cancer, which unfortunately spread to his bones. Throughout his illness, he faced numerous challenges, especially while being incarcerated.

While Keith was incarcerated for three and a half years, he did not receive the proper medical care he desperately needed. Diagnosed with cancer during his time in prison, he was deprived of chemotherapy or radiation treatments. He endured immense pain and struggled with neuropathy, which affected his hands, legs, and feet. Upon his return home, he was a shadow of his former self, weighing 100 pounds less than when he went in. Despite his pain, he continued to face each day with courage.

After Keith's return, we did our best to provide him with the care he needed. However, he was eventually placed on hospice care, and a month later, he passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

Keith was a bright spirit who loved life and cherished his family. His infectious laughter and kind heart will be deeply missed. We want to honor his memory and give him the dignified farewell he deserves.

Unfortunately, the costs associated with laying Keith to rest have become a burden on our family. We are reaching out to our community for help to cover funeral and burial expenses. Your support will not only help us say goodbye to Keith in a proper and respectful manner but also provide our family with much-needed closure during this difficult time.
