Keith Diamond- Fight against ALS
Donation protected
Hello all,
In February of this year, a month before his
43rd birthday, my brother Keith was diagnosed with ALS. As many of you know, we lost our mom to this disease in 2006.
We have been fortunate that Keith has been accepted into a clinical trial at Montreal Neurological Hospital. This is a new trial treatment and we are unsure as to what impact it may have. Since his diagnosis, he and his partner Shona have traveled to Montreal 6 times and another 10 trips are required over the next 18 months.
Keith is no longer able to work; his only source of income is EI sick benefits, which are about to expire. Keith has two children, Ethan aged 15 and Anna, 16. We are devestated at this diagnosis and we know many of you will share in our pain. As the disease progresses, Keith will need to move houses as their current home will not meet his needs. This plus travel and everyday expenses is proving to be a significant financial burden.
We are calling on your compassion and genorisity to support Keith and his family during this very difficult time. Our sincere gratitude for any donation, big or small. Sharing our campaign with others is also appreciated.
