Kelcie Sundquist Memorial & Save the Bunnies Fund

Help us celebrate the life of Kelcie Mae Sundquist, who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly from an undiagnosed genetic heart condition on January 28, at the age of 32.

Kelcie was a kind, genuine, thoughtful soul. She lit up any room she walked into with her bright happiness. She attracted friends and created community everywhere she went. One look from her beautiful brown eyes could make you feel like you were the only person in the world. She took care of you when you were down, whether that meant cheering you up by singing at the top of her lungs or whipping up some of her duck fat ramen. She helped you be the best, truest version of yourself. And we all know she loved to throw a good party, so let’s send her off in true Kelcie-fashion.

Our family is accepting donations to help with the cost of Kelcie’s upcoming memorial services in Los Angeles, her adopted home, and later this Spring in Utah, her home state (exact dates are forthcoming).

All extra funds will be put toward Kelcie’s passion, bunnies! She was a longtime advocate of proper rabbit care and education - as she liked to say, “a bunny is a 10-year commitment, not an Easter present.” Kelcie would be proud to know we will be making a large donation in her name to the Los Angeles Rabbit Foundation, which is committed to helping abandoned domestic rabbits by promoting spay and neuter, providing education on their care, volunteering in shelters and humane societies, and by fostering and rehabilitating rescued rabbits until such time as suitable permanent homes can be found.
