Kelli Banks

It is with a heavy heart that our colleague and friend to many, Kelli Banks, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 21. She was 49, and leaves behind her 12 year old son Alan and her husband Heath. Kelli also leaves behind numerous friends who all feel her absence deeply. She was our light.

Kelli was employed by The Ohio State University for 31 years and was a valued member of the Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine (PCCS) team for 26 of those 31 years.

She served the division as an office associate. Over the years, she played an important role in many initiatives, including coordinating learner rotations, critical care working groups, extensive support for the PCCS T32 application and the day-to-day support of many faculty members.

Her attention to detail was not only reflected in her work, but through every celebration or recognition that she spearheaded for faculty or staff. She was truly most fulfilled when helping others. She paid attention to what you liked and diligently worked her magic to find just the perfect gifts for her loved ones.

She had a beautiful smile that lit up any room she entered and musical laughter that warmed your heart and soul. The sound of Kelli’s infectious laugh and her generous heart will be greatly missed by everyone that came across her.

Funds raised will go to help pay the mortgage, some repairs on the house, everyday necessities and towards a school fund for her son Alan.
