Kelli Hinkel's Funeral Expenses
Donation protected
My mom, Kelli Hinkel, passed away on November 27, 2020. She had had a major stroke in September of 2014. She'd been in and out of the hospital all this year with mysterious fevers. The doctors now believe the stroke damaged the part of the brain that regulates body temperature. Mom had had a fever in the nursing home for about a week that they just couldn't break. We asked them on Thanksgiving to send her to the hospital. The hospital called us and told us to come in to be with her. She passed away Friday night.
Unfortunately, my mom didn't have life insurance. We looked at different options for burial and cremation. Dad and I decided on cremation with the eventual plan to plant a tree with her ashes (it's called a livingurn). The bad news is, we need at least $700 to pay by Monday when we meet with the funeral home again. I'd like to raise enough to pay for mom's cremation and the tree/living urn system we're wanting to get (https://www.thelivingurn.com/collections/zone-7/products/spruce).
Any little bit will help. My mom was one of the kindest people I ever knew. She was an amazing nurse and was willing to help everyone she met.
