Kelli Neal
This is a page to raise money for a true servant and warrior, Kelli Neal. Kelli is a Muscular Therapist who has worked in Birmingham for 7 years. During her time here she has helped so many people through their own personal pains and struggles, and touched the lives of many. She has a heart for people and spends her time investing in those she loves. Kelli is married to the love of her life, Stephen Hudson, and they have four beautiful children.
In April of this year, Kelli had some basic symptoms that were thought to be related to sinus issues. A few weeks later, they found a large mass in her right frontal lobe. She went in for neurosurgery soon after and then waited for the results of what type of tumor they removed. The tumor was determined to be a stage 4 astrocytoma, which is considered a glioblastoma. Kelli’s neuroncology team is now moving forward with an aggressive treatment plan including chemo and radiation in the next couple of weeks, while also looking into clinical trials. The median life expectancy for glioblastoma is about 12-18 months, but Kelli is determined to fight with all her strength to battle this disease.
As you can imagine, her family is still reeling from the news and trying to process the information as they prepare for the days and weeks ahead. Kelli was heartbroken to close the doors to her business but needs to focus on recovering from surgery and prepare for upcoming treatments. This decision has created a tremendous financial burden for her family, who understandably want to spend this time together encouraging and supporting her. Kelli’s husband is a middle-school teacher and has picked up some extra shifts bartending/ serving at night to try and help ease their financial struggles, but the burden is heavy with her business closed and significant medical expenses on the horizon.
