Kelli’s fight against breast cancer
Donation protected
As many of you have heard, Kelli Brooks Eakin was diagnosed with breast cancer June, 2022. Judy Lathem is one of my dearest friends so Kelli, being one of her daughters, feels like one of mine too!
Kelli gave birth to her first child , Sutton, May 3, 2022. When Kelli went in for her 6 week mommy check up, she told the doctor she felt something that didn’t feel right. That’s when her journey began. After many tests, the news came that rocked this family's world. Kelli was diagnosed with stage 3 triple negative invasive ductile breast cancer.
If you know Kelli at all you know she has always been an amazing aunt to 12 nieces and nephews. However, while Kelli is blessed to be a step mother to Brycen her prayer has always been to have a baby of her own. Mark and Kelli were over the moon excited to welcome this precious little girl into their family . The news of cancer is something this family has already experienced so unfortunately, they know exactly what is in store for them.
Kelli, Mark and family know this fight is going to be long and hard , but with our prayers and God almighty walking right beside them, they are ready and looking forward to moving past this.
As we all know, cancer comes with a HUGE financial burden. During this time we want Mark and Kelli to focus on her health without the stress of worrying about money. If Mark wants or needs to take off to be with Kelli we want him to be able to do that without hesitation.
Our goal is to raise enough money on the front end so that they can devote the next year exclusively to Kelli’s recovery.
For those of you who know the Eakins personally, we want to say thank you for your support; our hearts break with yours at this challenge that our friends will face. But they will handle this with the utmost grace and faith, that is one thing that’s certain. I’ll risk overstepping by also stating this: if you can give more than what you were initially planning on, please do so. Every extra amount buys them more time and flexibility to devote to getting Kelli healthy and back on her feet for good. You can also help by sharing this story/page on Facebook. If you don't know the Eakins, thank you for reading their story. We encourage you to act on whatever motivation brought you here; by donating or simply sharing this story so that it reaches others who may be moved to similarly help out. We are so grateful for your consideration and generosity.
