Kelly Clevenger Memorial Fund

Donation protected
Still with shock and unbelief,  but mostly a broken heart...I pen this note .   Tuesday afternoon, my dearest friend Kelly Clevenger was called to her heavenly home after a fatal accident.

On February 19, Kelly was driving home with her son Parker in the car.  To the best of our knowledge, Kelly somehow lost control of the vehicle and hit the grass median, then crossing into oncoming traffic where she collided with another vehicle head on. Parker suffered some injuries and was transported to our local trauma center where he would be hospitalized for surgery.  But by the grace of God , his life was spared.

Even as I sit here writing this, I remain confused by how life sometimes unfolds.   Even with faith, I struggle to understand how such a beautiful life can be gone in an instant.  And in the same breath, the past few days have brought people into our lives that we never dreamed of, we have been surrounded by friends and loved ones reaching out, we have been blessed with story upon story of how many lives she has touched with her friendship, her kindness, her dedication to nursing and education, and what a sad world it would be for each of us had we not been blessed by the gift of her love and joy which she shared so freely. And though it may seem crazy to say....I never imagined I could love her more after her death than I loved her in life.  Her beauty just keeps unfolding before my eyes.

Kelly was full of love and joy.   It was her life mission to never deal in negativity.  She was full of gentleness and genuine kindness.  She always thought of others first and gave selflessly without hesitation. But anyone who truly knew Kelly , knew that what she cherished most was her husband and their boys.   Her life was dedicated to loving them well. So, it is with that same spirit that I have developed this memorial fund for them.

I cannot begin to imagine how you start to put the pieces back together after such a tragic loss.   The goal for this fund is to help provide for  them in days to come as they transition to a single income household.

Expected needs may be included, but not limited to, the following:

*  Unexpected bills
*  Medical expenses and deductibles
*  Psychological and social needs
*  Savings fund for future educational needs of the boys

This is an opportunity to sew into the lives of Sam and Parker after the tragic loss of their mother as they face the challenges of coming days.  We have had so many folks requesting to know how they might help out during this difficult time.  This memorial fund is a consideration of how you may do that if your heart so leads you.

Thank you in advance....
