We are truly heartbroken of the tragic death of Kelly Devine-Alunni. Kelly passed away Monday morning, October 19th, as the result of a horrific vehicle accident in South Carolina. She was traveling to Florida to visit family and friends for her birthday getaway. Unfortunately, she never made it.
Those that have known Kelly, knew her as a devoted mother to her disabled son Joseph. Kelly and Joe have had many struggles throughout the years; the loss of their son John Adam, Joseph’s many disabilities and surgeries, and Kelly’s own medical issues. However, they were a team, Kelly and Joe, and always leaned on each other for the best for their son Joseph.
Kelly was very involved in the community, regularly volunteering at the VFW at Cortez. She loved the people she met and the community where she lived, who had shown love and support for her family through the years. We all loved her. She was always the life of the party and she had the biggest heart willing to help anyone that needed it.
Now she needs our help. Our help to get her home. Our help with ensuring she can be put to rest with her sweet baby John Adam. Our help to care for Joe and Joseph through this devastating time. Joseph will never understand why his mommy didn’t come back home to him. Joe will remain Joseph’s rock now. If we can give him one less worry, it would be a tremendous help.
