Kelly Klinger-Gratz Memorial

I am profoundly sad to share that on June 16th, Kelly Klinger-Gratz passed away from injuries she sustained in an automobile accident. She was two months away from her 42nd birthday. Kelly was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. Her love for people, life and all living things were hallmarks of her character. She is missed dearly.

Kelly leaves behind family including her loving husband, David Gratz, three children (Victoria, Olivia and Pierce Horton), two stepdaughters (Eleanor and Beatrice Gratz), her sister Kathryn Horner, her father Thomas Klinger and stepmother Jean Klinger, and her mother Nancy Radford and stepfather Rodney Radford.
Kelly lived for helping others. She was a kind and giving soul who respected life and all living things.  Her passions led her to caring pet ownership and then she also became a veterinary technician and an in-home pet care provider to share her love and compassion with other families and their pets.

How You Can Help

Firstly, please keep Kelly and her family in your prayers. Kelly’s passing was sudden and unexpected, and her family is grieving her loss with heavy hearts as they carry on with their own lives.

Funds donated to this GoFundMe appeal will be used to pay for Kelly’s funeral and end of life expenses and to establish memorials ensuring that she is honoured in our lifetime and beyond. Any amounts received in excess of expenses owed for her will be used for memorials or philanthropy in Kelly’s name including our hope to establish and maintain a scholarship fund in her name as enduring tribute to her life and memory.

Why We’re Asking For Your Assistance

David is not able to work due to impairments suffered in his own auto accident some years ago. He has an appeal pending with the Social Security Administration that denied his initial applications for Disability Insurance. He and Kelly had been grateful for assistance from our family for lodging and basic living expenses, which David still relies upon while awaiting his hearing with SSA.

That said, all funds raised through this appeal will be used only for expenses relating directly to Kelly, her final arrangements, and memorials in her name.
