Kelly Earl Knisley
June 23, 1958 - September 14, 2018
My dear friend and boyfriend Kelly unexpectedly lost his battle with cancer. A piece of my world fell off with his passing. Kelly was all about taking care of everyone, keeping people happy and helping them through hard times and ailments. It was never about Kelly, pure unselfish love ran through him. His smile would light up a room with that special mischievous little grin! Anyone who had the honor to have Kelly as a friend knows what I am talking about. We should all be so lucky to have a friend of his caliber.
Kelly was a third generation Santa Anita Race Track employee. Kelly stared working at the track when he was 13 years old with his father Edward Walton Knisley, and grandfather Earl Knisley, who was involved in the civil engineering of the track and a horse trainer for Lucky Baldwin. In addition, his great uncle Ray Knisley was the personal attorney of Anita Baldwin and went on to be the long time beloved Senator of Nevada.
Kellys crossing over has affected everyone who knew him. His sudden passing has left his daughter, Taylor Elizabeth Knisley (16), three sisters, many friends, and myself with an emptiness in our hearts like no other.
The outpouring of love that I have read in all the posts on Facebook and Instagram is a testimony of what a great man he was. I am honored to have been your friend and girlfriend. I am hoping this GoFundMe Page will help alleviate the burden associated with possible pending medical expenses, funeral service, and to help his daughter with her future education.
I want to thank you in advance for all of your love and support and for loving this sweet man. He will be missed by many. Kelly will always be with us in our memories and in our hearts. We love you.
