Kelly Taft Krause's Recovery Fund

Update here! Kelly is slowly but surely recovering. They are trying to come up with her rehabilitation plan now. She wants to thank each and every one of you for your prayers and love. She’s speechless over everyone’s support, and says it is helping her more than you could ever know. ❤️ Hello, it is Michele Meacham-D’Agostino here. I never saw myself as a person to start a Go Fund Me, or rather I hoped I would never need to. However, when your best childhood friend needs help, you find the strength to do what you need to.

Kelly Taft Krause loves the Lord and knows him as her Lord and Savior. First and foremost, I want to thank you for all your prayers for her. I know she believes in the power of prayer, as do I. If you are led to contribute, any amount no matter how small, it is greatly welcomed. I know if her husband Fred were still alive, he would be able to put a plan in place and be her advocate.

Here is a summation of what is going on with Kelly.

Kelly’s Story:

On Thursday, July 27, 2020, my dear Kelly was rushed to the closest hospital in Kingwood Texas and was in grave condition. That hospital realized the care needed for her would be best served by a specialist at another hospital, and so she was transferred to HCA Conroe Hospital, 504 Medical Center Blvd., Conroe Texas, 77304, where she remains in the ICU at this time.

Kelly has a severe kidney condition, which led to a systemic infection. You may have heard of Sepsis. It is when infection travels throughout your blood stream, attacking other organs. This is what Kelly is fighting. Her family was told if she had waited for treatment, she would likely not be with us today. Everyone that knows Kelly, knows she is determined, goal oriented and very accomplished! I am confident with God’s blessing and love shown to her by her family and friends, Kelly will get well.

The Plan:

When the doctors stabilize her infection, they will move to treat her kidney condition. It most likely will be a surgical procedure to remove stones and place a stint in. Due to Covid, she will be doing some recovery at home though to avoid the possible exposure at the hospital. This will all take time and with Kelly in between jobs, there will be uncovered medical expenses, including home health care. I am praying, with this fund she can focus on getting better and not finances. Again, thank you on behalf of Kelly and her family.

In closing, I feel led to share this verse.

The prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; The Lord will raise them up. James 5:15.
