Kelly Welke battle with cancer

Hi all, as many of you may know my mom has been battling cancer now for a little over 2 years. A few months ago she had a groin injury that was taking longer than average to heal. Eventually she was unable to move without being in excruciating pain. We soon found out that she has a fracture in her pelvis which is causing all this pain. They decided to do surgery to stabilize the fracture to begin healing. During surgery they found a “substantial sized mass” near the fracture sight. This is completely a shock to us all as she just had scans in May that shown that the cancer spots were shrinking. At this point my mom will be coming home from rehab after a long month in the hospital and rehab on Saturday. We have been so blessed by our community who has reached out wanting to help in any way possible. I’ve had so many people ask me to start a gofundme which was something my mom was not for, however since we’ve had so many request we’ve decided to go ahead. We’re unsure what the future financial needs will be, as insurance only covers an HOUR a week for a nurse, aide, OT and PT. Anything else will be out of pocket. My mom will have several appointments up in Cleveland as they are planning to do radiation on the mass and restart chemo after that. We appreciate all that everyone has done this far and really could use all the prayers at this point. Thank you
