Kelly's Cancer Journey

Kelly is a 41 year old wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, niece, cousin and as of Feb 27, 2020 a cancer patient. She has always strived to be the best person she can be and help as many people as she can. She absolutely loves making others smile and always tries to lift up and encourage everyone around her. She will make it through and one day Cancer will just be a story she tells her grandchildren about. However, she may need a little help getting through. If it weren’t for her worrying about her family, she would never dare ask anyone for anything. In March 2019 she had a hysterectomy and five weeks later she was hospitalized for sepsis which lead to two more surgeries. As you can imagine the bills piled up pretty quickly as she was out of work for 13 weeks and incurred around $100k hospital bills. She does have insurance so her portion was not that much but nonetheless, she's still trying to get it paid off. In addition to her regular monthly bills she is also helping her daughter get through college and the expenses that come with it. Obviously cancer came at a very bad time (not that there is a good time.) Due to where her cancer is located and the rate of growth, she has not been able to work since Feb 7, 2020. She has short term disability but it is not enough to even cover monthly bills. She had one surgery on April 1, 2020 and is scheduled for another on May 1, 2020. We are still praying she won’t have to have additional treatment after that surgery. Kelly would never ask for help, so I'm doing it. Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
