Tragic loss of Kelsey Breitung
Donation protected
Hi my name is Kathy Britton and I’m fundraising money for one of my best friends Kelsey Breitung for funeral costs. She was 31 years old and had barely lived life in a way most of us get to live. Kelsey is an organ donor and they are in the process of figuring out the recipients that will get to receive her special gift to improve their lives. Kelsey was outgoing and loved new adventures. I am going to include her gratitude list she wrote in October 2023:
1. Have family, parents still alive
2. Kathy
3. My beautiful dog Aries
4. Young, strong, beautiful, inside and out
5. Intelligent and independent
6. Always in great shape
7. I live on the beach
8. Have a job and car
9. Live where it’s always warm and sunny
10. Have luxuries (phone, hair, nails
11. Outgoing
12. Powerful soul that guides me
13. Spiritual path
14. Happy being single (I’m free bitches)
15. I am on a path where I will day change the world for the better
16. Love myself enough to work on healing myself
She said: I keep finding studies that show that people that make a list of things they are grateful for are happier in life.
Kelsey moved to Guam to try to figure out what she really wanted in life, if she should attend a school for a career or maybe just a trades school. While living there she found a dog on the streets and decided she would take ownership of him. He was malnourished, had so many fleas he was eating at his skin. She also carried around a bag of dog food in the trunk of her car to feed other strays. He’s now a healthy, happy dog, with lots of love to give. We would like to figure out a way to get him to our area so Kelsey’s mom can continue to care for him.
In high school she was in ROTC with hopes of a career with the navy, she was unable to live that dream. I hope you get an idea of how special Kelsey was. She will be truly missed by many. The family does not have the means to pay for a funeral and I would like to be able to help them accomplish this for Kelsey. Thank you. Hoping to have her funeral or celebration of life in February
