Courts For Kids in Costa Rica!
Donation protected
Dear Family and Friends,
As I embark on the final 100 days of my undergrad degree, I am looking to the future and what I would like to do post-graduation. I have always wanted to go on a mission’s trip and an opportunity has risen that I am ready to jump on.
Over the last two years at VCU, I have developed a wonderful community within my campus ministry, Intervarsity. A group of us have gotten together and are planning a mission’s trip for one week the end of June of this year. We will be partnering with an organization called, Courts for Kids, and will be building a court with a community where children do not have a safe place to play. I invite you to check out www.courtsforkids.org and gp.intervarsity.org/projects/costa-rica-courts-kids-intervarsity-vcu-blue-ridge to learn more about this organization and what my group will be doing. I am looking forward to going on this trip to see God’s work in another country and how He can use my love for children to shine a light on the community.
For this trip, we will be traveling to Costa Rica and will have the opportunity to build a sports court as well as shower these children with God’s love. I need to raise $1,400 for this trip to be possible and I would greatly appreciate if you could take the time to support me either through prayer and/or financially.
I will be visiting Piedades Sur, Costa Rica June 23rd, 2015 through July 2nd, 2015
In the event that I raise more than $1,400, all remaining donations will go towards another student’s balance for this trip or directly to Courts For Kids for future needs.
College has been such a growing experience and I am looking forward to the future and embarking on the journey that God has laid out for me.
Thank you and God Bless,
Kelsey Bateman
