My name is Kelsey, I am a single mother to an amazing little boy named Otto.  One year ago I started going in and out of the hospital with stomach issues.  At first I started out with stomach ulcers, bloody stools, and vomit which they told me was from the ulcers.  After lots of persistence and more and more stomach issues, I was finally diagnosed with crohn’s.  After 30 days of medicine to treat the crohn’s, my doctor also diagnosed me with colitis.  They decided at this point that a colonoscopy would be in order.  When the results came back my doctor referred me to a G.I doctor.  Thursday, September 18th I went to my appointment to meet my new doctor.  The nurse checked me in.  My doctor came into the room followed by an oncologist and a radiologist.  This all seemed a little weird that 3 different doctors came in to see me.  At the appointment they told me that I will need a biopsy to test for colon cancer.  Results came back that I am positive for colorectal cancer. I have been through 3 surgeries in just 3 weeks to remove and treat the cancer.  I recently had another pet scan and they found another spot in my rectum.  My insurance company is picking and choosing what they will cover.  I currently have been too ill to work.  I figured I would try to raise money to help with the medicals bills. With me not working and constantly resting and recovering from all the procedures and cancer treatment, making ends meet has been very difficult.  Now with my insurance company only covering certain things, ends are going to be more difficult to meet. Loosing this battle with cancer is not an option, I plan to fight this all the way. Any support is greatly appreciated.  My biggest wish is just for my son to be ok through this and that I get better.
