Kelsey's Stolen Camera Gear Recovery

Hi everyone, my name is Kelsey Wagner, I work as a Photographer .

 

Unfortunately, I recently had my luggage as Delta Air Lines likes to put it “mishandled” while flying to Miami for work. Which for me that means my personal gear, Nikon DSLR camera, 4 of my lenses, my 35mm Yashica T4 camera, numerous CF and SD cards, camera bag, 2 bricks of film, and a few irreplaceable images, along with many other personal items (ie clothing, skincare items, shoes etc) are now fully gone. Because of this, I was unable to do my week-long job, as well as I could have, had I had all my personal gear and items with me. I provide for myself solely with my camera gear, and due to the “mishandling” of my luggage, I am further in the hole, and unable to replace the tools I need to be able to do my job now and in the future. (Yes, I have filed a claim with Delta, spoken to my insurance, and filed a police report with Miami Police.) For those of you that know me, you know my life revolves around shooting, and this has been quite literally my worst nightmare. Delta has been next to no help, refusing to cover the losses they have caused, which equates to over $10,000.

 

Asking for help is not something I tend to do, or feel comfortable doing but I have had a lot of people tell me to create a gofundme so here we are. I do not expect anyone to donate a thing but for those of you that do, it is appreciated more than you know. I am not asking for the full amount of what was stolen, but I am just hoping to get something back to get me back on my feet and working again. Thank you and even if you cant donate all the kind words from those of you who have reached out have been helpful and made this whole situation a little bit easier to digest on my end.
