Kelsey's Study Abroad Funds

Hey guys!

My name is Kelsey Hayes and I am currently a Junior at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte pursuing a degree in  Accounting where I hope to achieve a career in forensic accounting.

I have recently been given an opportunity of a lifetime to study abroad for 4 weeks over the summer in London and Athens, Greece.  Yes, GREECE! During my time at Athens, I will be taking 1-2 courses that will count towards my degree.

A lot of Accounting majors decide not to study abroad, it was actually difficult to find a program for my degree. This experience will not only make me a more marketable employee but also give a new face to what an accountant is. Not all of us, accountants, sit in a cubical from 9-5 rattling numbers in our brains. It is in fact, a growing global career as businesses are networking worldwide now more than ever.  This experience will give me the tools to become a globalized business women.

If you know me, you know this trip is a dream come true for me because I have had other study abroad opportunities but they have fallen through. I have been determined to study abroad since my freshman year of college and I never thought this would actually happen until now. I truly believe a person really grows when they are pushed out of there comfort zones and have to fend for themselves without friends and family in close distance, sorry mom.  This will be my first time travelling to Europe and I hope this trip will inspire me to take many more advantures in the future. (That I will hopefully be able to afford without GoFundMe)

If you are reluctant of donating money to me, then put me to work, I want this bad and I am not looking for a handout.  I can dog sit, house sit, run errands, baby sit, house clean, anything, I am your Girl!

With that being said, I have created this GoFundMe to help pay for my study abroad trip and I am eternally grateful for whatever amount you can donate. For those that are able to donate, I am willing to send you a picture of my dinner or a nice sunset picture while I am in Greece. It is my way of saying thank you for making this possible! Regardless, if you are not able to donate, I totally understand and appreciate your time for listening to my story.

Thank youuuuu and be checking your mailboxes for a post card from yours truly in Greece :)
