Kembur Stay Strong
Donation protected
Hi, our names are Joe and Rene'. We adopted Kembur in September 2022. He was born June 9, 2022. If you've met Kembur you likely know he is one of the sweetest pups you've met. Our little love recently developed pneumonia and giardia. We took him to ER Wed. night after excessive drooling, panting and pacing. Joe and I have been in and out of doctors offices, ensuring Kembur receives the best care. After 4 days of treatment we have now learned the pneumonia has gotten worse and there is an infection in his lung. They'll be doing a cat scan tomorrow to determine how many lobes to remove during surgery. While we are doing everything we can for our baby, it is starting to get a little trying on us financially. Of course we will fight for him with everything we can. If you are interested and able to help support us in his journey of recovery, we would greatly appreciate it.
Please share this post to help spread the word and to support our little Kembur. ❤️
Update 5/15: Kembur's cat scan helped find out that he needed two lobes removed, one from each lung. Surgery went well and he is now in recovery. We've learned the airway to Kembur's left lung lobe (which they removed) was underdeveloped making fighting off infection more difficult. He still has a ways to go in his healing journey. Thank you for your continued support.
Update 5/17: Kember is recovering well. He is no longer requiring oxygen and is up walking around. Today we will visit him in the hospital to help build up his spirits (and ours). Thank you again for everyone's continued support.
Thank you.
With Love,
Rene, Joe, Josie and Kembur
