Kemnay FC 2014s – International Tournament

Kemnay FC 2014s have received an invitation to take part in the 2024 Kronos Cup, an international football tournament organised by TSV Abbehausen and held in northern Germany from the 7th to 9th June 2024. Kemnay FC are the first youth club from the UK to receive an invitation to the tournament, which sees 48 teams from across Germany and the Netherlands compete over Saturday and Sunday in a league format.

With the Euro 2024 kick-off just a week later seeing Germany vs Scotland as the opening match, this coincides to provide an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for young, local footballers to experience playing the game they love in the Euro 2024 host nation just days before the professional’s kick-off.

As a community-based club, with inclusivity at its heart we are keen to ensure that no child misses out on an amazing chance to travel abroad, experience new cultures, make new friends and play football. Led by a parent committee, it is our aim to raise funding to cover the costs of travel, accommodation, and kit to allow each child who wishes to take part the opportunity to attend the tournament.

In the coming weeks and months, the team will be taking part and organising various fundraisers, including:

• Football Scratch Cards

• Lucky Numbers

• A team walk up Bennachie

• Team entry to the Run Garioch kid’s races

• Player Sponsorship

Our overall fundraising target based on gathered cost estimates is £7,500. This includes covering the costs for:

• Team entry fee

• Minibus hire including fuel costs to and from Germany

• Return overnight ferries from UK to Europe

• Food and accommodation (camping) for all children and the team coaches

• Team kit for the tournament
