Ken Burkhardt Accident Recovery

Hi, I am Ken’s oldest daughter, Keelee. On December 31st 2021, my dad Ken Burkhardt (Budda), was involved in a single car rollover car accident on the way to work caused by black ice. They used the Jaws of Life to extract him from the vehicle. He was badly injured, resulting in the total loss of the vehicle as well as extensive serious injuries. 

He was transferred to the ICU at Bryan West and remained there for almost 1 month to treat multiple fractures/breaks in his upper and lower neck that have caused damage to his spinal cord and left him with a quadriplegic diagnosis (permanent paralyzation of all 4 limbs). He has had 2 surgeries so far to help stabilize the damage. He is currently on the ventilator and he can’t fully breathe on his own. 

He has since been transferred to Madonna Lincoln to start rehab with an unknown length of stay. 

I'm creating this GoFundMe so that we can raise money to help cover medical bills and help his wife maintain their home as dad will no longer be able to work. My dad has a long road ahead but we are hopeful.
