Ken Cunningham

Hi there, My name is Alex Nickle; I am the eldest granddaughter of Ken Cunningham and I’m fundraising for the best PaPa anyone could ever ask for. He was diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer at the beginning of July and has rapidly declined since.

He is currently at Hospice of Lenawee for his end of life care; and due to the gap in Medicare coverage they do not pay for room and board at hospice. Daily rate is $300 a day to make him the most comfortable and to give him the care he requires.

When first diagnosed he was overly concerned for his wife about how much this was all going to cost her once he was gone. Any funds raised will go towards his hospice end of life care and memorial.

Ken Cunningham is one of the most amazingly kind and positive people I know. His love for cooking, gardening and adventures has impacted anyone he came in contact with. I want to give him as much comfort and peace as possible in his last moments. Please keep my Papa in your thoughts and prayers as embarks on his next journey.
