Ken & Jamie Field - Medical Expenses and Support
Donation protected
Our brother Ken (aka. Kenny) was on a fishing trip in the boundary waters and had an accident that resulted in a very dangerous break in his spine. He had to be boated out of the campsite and airlifted to a hospital in Duluth. We thank God that there was no damage to the arteries or nerves in his spine. Unfortunately, the break had to be repaired with fusion surgery. The surgery will leave Kenny in a neck brace for at least 3 months with permanent loss of most of his neck mobility, both side to side and up and down.
Many people have reached out asking how they can help, so we decided to set up this fund to help Kenny and Jamie recover some of the unexpected financial losses. Ken and Jamie got married in June and were just starting their married life together. They returned from their honeymoon and bought a home just a week prior to the accident. In addition, the hospital visiting hours were so limited, Jamie had to find lodging in hotels for the entirety of the hospital stay, totaling around $1000. With Ken's injury, the recovery period will be long, and he will be out of work for the majority of the next several months. We know they’re tough and will get through these challenges, but wanted to provide a way to help ease some of their stress.
We thank you for any help you choose to provide. Please remember Kenny in your prayers and ask God for a smooth recovery and minimal lifelong impact.
