Ken Kostecki and Family Support

On November 29th, Ken Kostecki was diagnosed with COVID after having been exposed at work. The ER diagnosed him with COVID, pneumonia, and pertussis and was sent home.
He was steadily getting worse at home and Monday afternoon we went back to the ER after he spiked a 103 fever and his pulse ox dropped to 85.
They admitted him.
Since Ken's hospital admission, he had failed to improve, and has faced many challenges. After a long, exhausting fight, Ken was placed on a ventilator the morning of December 21 and put into a medically induced coma, where his body will be given a chance at the rest he needs. Despite a strong effort and mad fighting skills, Ken has not been able to keep his Oxygen levels up and needs more support. Right now, the vent is his best chance of recovery.
For those of us who have been blessed to know Ken, we all know what a devoted father, husband, friend and family member he is. He works his tail off as a provider, is selfless, kind, hilarious, and just a quality human. There is nothing he won't do for those he loves, and spends all of his time and energy taking care of those he cares for.
Major medical emergencies and chronic illnesses are a HUGE financial burden for many, if not most, families. Ken has been out of work since late November due to his illness, and his wife Karen is trying to work, care for their 5 children, manage a house, and care for herself as well- no easy task by any means. We have no doubt that they will make it through this, but in the mean time, let's help reduce what stress we can. If you can donate to help Ken, Karen and the kids, they would appreciate it.
