Hi my name is Karen Connors.

I am a friend of Ken’s and the Krahn family. Ken, Sara, Julianna, Alex, Nic and Johnny! ❤️

Sara: “ Glioblastoma….a terminal brain tumour. Not something we would have ever thought we would deal with. When your world is rocked with possible mortality you certainly begin to prioritize and reflect. Ken has always prioritized his family, his friends and his vacation! He loved his work with children/adolescents needing mental health support but his job has never defined him. Now he and his wife Sara (married 23 years) will both be off from work indefinitely to battle this said-to-be relentless disease together.

Ken has being working hard to recover from his craniotomy where they were able to remove 85% of the tumour. We pray it will not grow back.

The next battle will be 6 weeks of Monday-Friday radiation at Health Sciences centre, along side oral chemotherapy.

The show of support you all have provided has been truly remarkable. The meals and messages have carried us through these dark times, and will as we go forward.

Honestly, gratitude is all Ken and the family have for all of you who walk this journey with them!
