KEN STOCKTON NEEDS HELP! CANCER SUCKS!
Donation protected
Kenny Stockton (also known as Kenny Keys) has been a musical staple in the Tampa Bay Area and beyond all of his life. Starting out in bands in his native New Jersey, Kenny was very active in the Music Scene there until he moved his family to Florida for a better life. He became known as The Voice Of The Sevilles, a wildly popular group in this area for close to 25 years that played the top venues and on bills with the most popular acts of the 50's, 60's and 70's. If you loved Doo-Wop, you loved Kenny and The Sevilles. Kenny and others from the band ended up joining The Satellites and became the voice and Keyboard player of that band, continuing the Doo-Wop and Oldies in venues throughout Florida.

Kenny then collaborated with friends and started the band Without Smith, a popular Variety band that enjoyed a 10-year run along the West Coast of Florida.

Kenny continued to be a popular vocalist and keyboard player in the local area. Then, personal tragedy struck Kenny with a sore throat that wouldn't go away. He underwent treatment from several doctors over several months trying to figure out why he was having such trouble. Then a doctor found a tumor on his vocal chords. It turned out to be Malignant Cancer. The doctors were on it immediately and they found that the cancer had not spread. Kenny then began the fight of his life. He had to make a move to Georgia so he could be cared for by his stepdaughter and began treatment at Emory Hospital in Atlanta. His vocal chords had to be removed to prevent the cancer from spreading, leaving him without the voice that tens of thousands of people had heard and loved over the years! Having no job and very little opportunity in the rural town he is staying in, he only has Social Security of approximately $600/month to get by on, which is easily being consumed by his living expenses, and using his credit cards for incidentals and expenses, which are now maxed out. Furthermore, his only mode of transportation is a 250,000-mile van that now has a blown transmission and is unable get him to his treatments.
Kenny Stockton needs our help.

If you've ever been to one of Greg Gruner's excellent house parties, you have heard Kenny sing and play. You've heard him sing and play piano at BNI Socials and Christmas Parties. You have heard him sing and play piano at Joe Klukowski's Annual Family Pig Roasts. You've probably spoken with him, too; Kenny is a very outgoing and social guy, always with a story to tell you. Hundreds of you......maybe thousands of you......that are reading this right now know Kenny. He is a very proud man and never asks for help. So we are asking on his behalf.
We are trying to raise funding to help him get back on his feet. Kenny needs to move back to Florida to get his life back. He is still an in-demand keyboard player and has offers of work waiting here for him. He needs to be moved back to Florida. He needs a place to live that won't cost him more than his Social Security every month (near impossible!!). He needs a reliable used car to get back and forth to jobs and to Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, where his medical treatments and appointments will continue. He sold most of his music equipment to pay for treatments so some pieces that are necessary need to be replaced with good used equipment. We want to help ease his current financial burden so he can concentrate on recovery and survival. We would like to get him a pre-owned camper to live in, as we have a very generous offer of a place to set one up for him to live for a more modest cost than anywhere else.

Anything you can do, as much or as little as you can do, would be very helpful in getting Kenny back on his feet again. Sometimes people just need a little help in life. This is Kenny's time. Thank You in advance, from the bottom of our hearts, for your help!
