In Memory of Ken Tsui and Onn Liew
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart and great sorrow that we inform you that on March 10, 2021, we mourn the loss of Ken Tsui and Onn Liew.
Ken Tsui was a devoted and dedicated Christian, loving husband to his wife Diana, and father to three children Aiden, Darion, and Glen. For those that have known Ken, he was a charismatic, sincere, caring, and down-to-earth individual.
Ken emigrated from Hong Kong to Canada by himself to pursue his university education at Wilfrid Laurier. Since then, he has made an impact on many people's lives and built many strong relationships.
Throughout his life, Ken alongside with wife Diana and children participated in many charitable causes through their church and community events; such as food banks, homeless shelters, and charitable donations. Ken was always eager to help others and be involved in any community outreach from church to assist those in need of aid.
Unfortunately in 2018, Ken was diagnosed with liver cancer. Even though he had a tough battle ahead of him and many medical challenges this did not stop him from living his life to the fullest and spending the final years of his life with family and friends. Through sheer will, he extended his time briefly until finally succumbing to his on-going battle with liver cancer.
Ken Tsui imparted many life lessons and meaningful skills in the lives of his children. His imparted wisdom will continue to live on as his legacy and will remain a core part in our family values. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
Onn Liew was born and raised in Malaysia for most of his life. In 2010, he moved permanently to stay with his daughter Diana and son-in-law Ken in Canada.
Onn Liew was a loving husband, dedicated father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren in Canada and Malaysia. For those that have known Onn Liew, he lived his life to the fullest. He enjoyed eating, reading the newspaper, going outdoors for a brisk walk, going to the movie theatre, and doing tai chi.
As a Christian, Onn Liew was a devoted member of the church and continued contributing in whichever way he could to have an impact on people's lives.
Onn Liew was referred to by his grandchildren as the Asian Colonel Sanders or the Asian James Bond. He lived a simple, easy, and meaningful life. Onn Liew was always smiling, peaceful, sociable, and nimble for his age.
Unfortunately, Onn Liew passed away shortly after Ken Tsui due to the anxiety and depression from Ken's condition.
Ken Tsui and Onn Liew will be missed dearly by family and friends. Their lives were a blessing to many and their memory will forever be treasured.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021. Their obituaries can be found below:

Dealing with a loss is never easy, let alone two important family members. During this time our family is asking for assistance from those who knew Ken Tsui and Onn Liew in helping us cover the cost for the funeral services. We want to give them both a memorial they deserve, to honor their memory and say our last goodbyes.
Please consider donating if you can, as any amount will truly help. We are relying on your generosity to raise a minimum of $30,000 by March 26, 2021 for funeral costs. Any additional funds collected will go towards the family helping them as they move to the next chapter in life. It would mean a lot if you could share our funeral fundraiser with others who knew them. Our family appreciates all the well wishes and assistance and would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
