Ken Yeager - Cancer Fight
Donation protected
Everybody has been shocked to hear of the sudden and rare case of cancer Ken Yeager has been diagnosed with in mid-April.
"So the last week has really shaken up my world. After not feeling normal for a couple of weeks, I called my doctor to request bloodwork on Monday. Tuesday had the bloodwork done, and Wednesday while at work received a call from my doctor to go immediately to the ER as there were abnormalities in the bloodwork. After several more tests, the results of a bone marrow biopsy confirmed leukemia. I have B-Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia with the Philadelphia marker and it’s quite aggressive requiring immediate hospitalization. I have been transferred to Moffit Cancer Center in Tampa for treatment. I will be in the hospital for several months while they work on the best way to attack the cancer. I am nervous about what I am up against and ask that you keep not only me, but my family in your prayers." -Ken Yeager
Ken's treatment will require round-the-clock care, testing, transfusions, chemo, and bone marrow transplants. Many of the treatments and expenses are far beyond what any insurance will cover. The chemo required to best treat this specific cancer will cost nearly $20k per month and may be required for up to a year. Ken will potentially have to remain in the hospital for months without being able to see family or friends, and is looking at hundreds of thousands in excess medical bills.
We are asking for any help that can be provided, anything from $5 to $500 will help him in this unforeseen medical tragedy.
(All proceeds will go directly to Ken's medical expenses)
