Kendrick Heart Beat

Hello My name is Shamekia, My son Kendrick Jackson . Hello my Baby Boy is Kendrick Jackson He was diagnosed with hypoplastic left heart syndrome. He has went through all three open heart surgeries included (Norwood, Glenn, & Fontan). On February 14, 2019 He ended up with having to get a pacemaker put in because his heart stopped twice & they didn’t know why that happened. He also had to get and oxygenator put in right after the Fontan surgery! My baby is now 23 months with an R VAD & L VAD! He have been having lung issues since he was born & still dealing with it! When I tell y’all how strong & tough my baby boy is you wouldn’t believe it. He even shock most of the doctors and nurses here of how strong he really is! We have been here at the hospital since November 17,2019! Kendrick ended up having to get a tracheotomy (Trach) because of his breathing/lung problem! We have been in the icu unit since December 14,2019! Kendrick oxygen went as low as in the 20’s that he ended up having to go on Ecmo for two whole weeks! That alone really broke me down having to see your baby just laying there & nothing you can/could do! Kendrick was making such great progress that we had the opportunity to move to the imu side on April 10,2020 that was the best day ever! Not having to be in the icu really made the both of us feel so much better!! I also have a three year old daughter name Kennedi & a four year old son name Kenterrious! Having to be here with Kendrick & making sure everything is going right! Trying to spend as much time with the other kiddos on the weekends have been really hard for me! But I’ve manage to get the job done with no complaints! On April 24,2020 my husband & I got the greatest news ever that our son Kendrick was finally placed on the transplant list for a new heart! I didn’t know rather to cry, scream or just jump up and down! Because we have been here waiting patiently for this moment to happen & now that it’s finally here it’s unbelievable! So now my heart warrior is just waiting on that call saying we have a heart! I tell you this journey haven’t been easy but I just Thank God that we are finally here!! At a place where I can finally let my hair down because Kendrick keep me on my feet.. On November 12,2020 My Baby received his New Heart that we’ve been waiting on. He is now on the road to recovery, We just want to Thank the family who was so generous to give our baby boy a second chance. Tuesday November 17,2020 makes a whole year we’ve been here. I think it’s time for us to go home to be with his other two siblings. Thank each & everyone of you for your generous donations in advance.
