Kennadi Altobelli's Heart Surgery
Donation protected
Kennadi is the youngest of 6 girls, she was born with a heart anomaly called ALSA which is associated with a right aortic arch. She has struggled with eating, swallowing and gaining weight. It has severely affected her growth and development and after spending the last 11 months of her life seeing multiple different doctors and specialists in the area we were finally directed to Cincinnati Children's Hospital were we were able to not only get answers and a diagnosis but a treatment plan. We spent a week down there getting all the tests done that had taken 6 months to do here in Buffalo and met with amazing doctors who specialize in airway issues so after some pretty extensive tests and procedures they came to the unanimous conclusion that she will need to undergo open heart surgery in the upcoming month to correct this anomaly and get her to where she needs to be. Unfortunately this will require us to be in Cincinnati for much longer than a week and away from our home and 5 other children. While there are a lot of different sources for help through the hospital for lodging, this trip and operation will be incurring large out of pocket costs so any donations would greatly help our family while we navigate this journey for little Kennadi to reach her optimum self.
