On September 12, 2023 at 5:48pmET, our faithful dad transitioned from his earthly to his heavenly home.

He battled pulmonary fibrosis for five long years, yet lived daily looking for opportunities to better the lives around him. He was ever-improving he and our mom’s home, diligently working on house projects all the way up until the day before he went into the hospital. 

As of October 1, the post of his unique pressure-washed driveway message he left for our mom just 4 days before —“Sherry ❤️s Ken”—has been viewed over 1.5 Million times on Instagram. His legacy of intentional service and care lives on.

Dads Famous Last Message to Mom

From the time they met, over 50 years ago, both of our parents faithfully served whatever church community they were in at the time, including their current church family of over 30 years.

That service has taken on many forms; for our dad, it was often building and painting—even when hooked to his oxygen tank. He never used his condition as permission to stop giving, loving, and serving.

Our mom has been an educator for over 40 years at private Christian schools, pouring her love, time, and expertise into 1000s of students - and she still continues to teach.

Many of you prayed for our dad, as well as our resilient mom as she is now learning to navigate life without her spouse and partner of 50+ years.

We have been greatly encouraged by many of you asking how you can tangibly help.

So we started this to show her our gratitude for years of investment and also a tangible representation of your love.

Our goal is to raise $3,000 to go towards remaining medical bills and other needs that have arisen since his passing.
