#Kenneth Spellman- End of Life Care for Barbara Spellman
Donation protected
Nephew of my beloved Aunt Barbara, I am suffering an unexpected tragic situation, the end of life care of the woman who helped raise me to be the man that I am today. Barbara Spellman, age 78, fell back in August and had to have hip surgery. At first, it seemed like she was recovering and went to rehabilitation to strengthen her hip and leg, Unfortunately, she did not take well to rehab, even at times complaining of more pain when she tried to walk. Ultimately, this has resulted in her staying in bed since entering rehab and rapidly decreasing in health. Sadly, I have been told that due to her rapid deterioration, I should prepare for the end of her life.
Over the years, I have had to deal with death in so many ways in my family, and it never seems to get easier. My mom, Helen Spellman, died back in 1988 when I was only 13 years old. Aunt Barbara took me in during my time of need and now, with no more living siblings and no children of her own, I am trying to be there for her in return during her final days. For all that she has done for my family, I want her last days to be filled with loving memories.
I have started an End of Life Care fundraiser to help cover the cost of Aunt Barbara's care and upcoming funeral expenses. Since this has been completely unexpected, I'm reaching out to all that can help. Please consider donating, as any amount will truly help. It would also mean a lot if you can share my story with any friends and family who could help.
Thank you so much for consideration during this difficult time.
