Kenny Guillory's Medical expenses

Hey yall! my name is Rebecca Howes, Victoria Guillory is one of my best friends. we met through our husbands ( Kenny and Bradley) who are buddies and work together at Smith tank and steel in Gonzales Louisiana.

This fundraiser is for Kenny and his family to help cover medical cost and missed work due to his ICU stay

Kenny -who if you don't know is 28 years old and has two sweet little boys, was admitted to Ochsner in baton rouge on Sunday August 15th due to Covid-19 with double pneumonia. things progressed and Kenny continued to require more oxygen and was moved to the ICU on Friday. on Sunday morning,

August 22nd, Kenny was put on a ventilator where his oxygen level still was low and hypoxic

late Sunday afternoon Kenny's doctor was able to secure a spot for him to at Ochsner hospital in new Orleans (huge blessing!) where he will be placed on ECMO. for those of you that don't know ECMO is similar to dialysis, except it will be putting oxygen into his blood , this will allow his heart and lungs to rest.

As you can imagine, Kenny and Victoria never thought this would be part of their story -ESPECIALLY at such a young age. Victoria, who is a Respiratory therapist at Ochsner never could have imagine the love of her life would be in the same hospital where she has been working and helping people fight covid-19 through out this pandemic. With this being said, I am here to ask for help on behalf of the Guillory family with the financial burden of this tragedy. Kenny has already been in the hospital over a week, and will have a long recovery ahead of him. This means loss of one income for the Guillory family until Kenny gets back on his feet. In the US, the average hospital stay in a COVID ICU with insurance is roughly around $115,000

This also does not cover the cost of the transportation to new Orleans and the cost of ECMO.

We want Kenny and Victoria to worry about Kenny's health and taking care of the boys and not have the added stress. If you know Kenny personally, you know he would give the shirt off his back for his family and friends and would always be there to help, you would also know they would never ask for help unless it was truly needed .

Please pray for God to heal Kenny and to give him the strength to fight this virus. Pray for strength and guidance for Victoria as she navigates work, taking care of the boys and going back and forth to new Orleans to see Kenny. Also pray for the boys, Xander and Eli who miss their daddy so much and want him home!
