Kenny Ray Wilson Memorial
Donation protected
As most of you have heard, my big brother Kenny Wilson passed away earlier this month. His death has had an enormous effect on our family; as we grieve and struggle through this unimaginable loss.
Kenny was such a kind man. He was someone who never held a grudge and always wanted to give those around him bear hugs. He was a beautiful guitar player and an avid botanist who obsessed over cacti and succulents. When he was five he would pose questions for our parents such as "If a t-rex and a great white shark got in a fight, who would win?" or "Is a saber tooth tiger or an alligator stronger?" When I was hospitalized right after birth, and he was just a little three-year-old, he insisted on drawing me pictures and bringing them to the hospital to show them to me. When we were about 10 and 13 we'd watch episode after episode of Spongebob Squarepants and we'd draw each and every character--he always perfected mine, bragging that his were better (which they often were). He collected ladybugs with me in elementary school, spending his recesses with me rather than his 6th grade friends. He was such a sweet soul, and although he struggled with addiction most of his life, he never became a mean person or lost his caring heart. These past two weeks have made my heart ache, and I feel like a part of me is missing.
My family and I are asking for help organizing his memorial, from those who knew and loved Kenny. Funds from this GoFundMe will be used to organize such an event. If we are lucky enough to have our goal met, any additional funds will go directly to assisting my family with other related costs during this time of need.
Thank you all for anything you can give, but mostly thank you for being a part of Kenny's life. His kind spirit will be missed by us all.
