Kenny’s Medical Bills & Continual Care
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Haley and this is in reference to my dad, Kenny Crossland (aka Sgt Crossland, Coach Ken, Big Kenny).
As most of you know, my dad has been diagnosed with terminal renal cancer with metastasis in his spine. He was admitted to Vanderbilt on February 23rd for severe dehydration, weight loss, and a blood pressure of 78/28. While in the hospital, a spinal MRI revealed that the cancer has caused a fracture at his T11 and his doctors confirmed that he will be coming home on palliative care once he is stabilized and ready to be moved. They have now given him a life expectancy of 3-6 months.
With his previous hospital stays, many chemo and radiation treatments, and care he will be receiving at home, the medical bills have become overwhelming. My mom is unable to work so she can take care of him, so I am hoping to raise some money to help with my dad’s medical bills and support my mom with travel/food expenses while he is in the hospital. We are also needing to install a handicap accessible walk-in shower at his home. Obviously, anything left over will be used to help with funeral arrangements as well.
My dad dedicated his entire life to his family/friends, the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, and HUNDREDS of kids that he loved and even raised as his own. My dad has always been the biggest teddy bear and has touched so many lives, as well as my mom. I just want to help ease the financial burden that cancer brings and hope that this can bring them a bit of peace during the next few months, which will be the hardest of our lives!
If you feel inclined to donate, my family would be forever grateful! Otherwise, please just pray for my family. Pray for peace for my mom and comfort for my dad. Pray for my kids because they love their PawPaw SO much and this is absolutely crushing them.
Thanks in advance to everyone and a huge thank you to all of those that have already donated, sent care packages, and visited or called dad. I know it means the world to my parents❤️
