Kensley’s Fight Against Bone Cancer

Donation protected
Sweet Kensley Grace Napier was recently diagnosed with bone cancer.

On Saturday, Kensley’s parents (Philip and Stephanie Napier) brought her into the children’s ER to get an MRI done of her leg after many long days of pain and limping. After meeting with their oncologist, the preliminary results do show a form of bone cancer. They have their ideas of which type it is but a definitive answer won’t be known until the results from the biopsy come back in about a week or two.

Kensley had an echocardiogram completed and her little heart looks great! Her CT scan of the chest did show multiple small spots in her lungs but they will just watch those places, especially when treatment starts. They were also visited by the physical therapist over the weekend to show Kensley how to use the walker properly. She is not able to put any pressure on the leg they did the biopsy in. They want to prevent the femur from breaking.

Ways that you can pray are the following:
1. For no other areas to show up on the PET scan this Friday (12/22)
2. The small spots on her lungs to stay small and diminish completely
3. For her femur to remain intact during chemo and until surgery
4. For Kensley’s spirit to remain high as she is learning to navigate a new normal for this season
5. Overwhelming comfort and peace for Philip, Stephanie, Tripp (Kensley’s little brother) and the rest of their precious family

We know that God is the same God in the mountain top as He is in the valley and He will not let this season return void. He created her on purpose and for a purpose. God is going to be with them each step of the way, He is fighting for them, and through all of this they are choosing to raise a hallelujah to our Amazing Father.

Lamentations 3:22-23
“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because HIS compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

Many family and friends in our community have asked how they can help. They have a very long road ahead of them and we don’t want them to have to worry about anything other than taking care of their precious Kensley Grace. Let’s rally around the Napier family through love and support by prayer and financial contribution to make ends meet during this difficult season. The Napier family is already incredibly grateful for all the love and support already shown toward them and their sweet girl!!

We are all #TeamKensley!
