Kent Donald , beloved Father of Katie Willard

I am helping Katie to raise funds for her father’s cremation and service. For many decades, he was a sterling citizen and member of the North Hollywood and Los Angeles neighborhood through his flower store. He did a lot of good for many, many people. Unfortunately, he suffered from the sickness of addiction and after many years of not being close to him, he, Katie, and I all made peace at his bedside prior to his death. He and Katie actually got close after he came off life-support last month, but then he was back in the hospital and left us peacefully on Sunday night.

Katie and I will be leaving to move to North Carolina in the coming weeks and we would like to be able to give him a dignified service and cremate him so that a portion of his remains will go with us.

Otherwise, he would be cremated by the state and it could take three months, and that is very disturbing to both Katie and myself.

We know how loved he was and it is our hope to give him a dignified final service. Thank you all in advance and thank you for the multitude of sympathies and good wishes. We love you all.
