Kent Football Grounds Bike Ride

Last year, my 4 year old son was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called XXYY syndrome which is a result of having more chromosomes in the body than you are due to have. This affects between 1 in 23,000 - 50,000.
Joseph's a happy little boy in himself but he has communication difficulties for his age. This is one of the effects of XXYY. Other issues that accompany this condition are a lack of testosterone, behavioural issues and the probable likelihood that he will never be able to have children of his own.

As this is such a rare condition, one which a lot of UK medical professionals haven't even heard of, Joseph's future is uncertain. He may have to be pulled out of mainstream school, will potentially have to have testosterone injections to get him through puberty and may not be able to live an independent adult life.
Please feel free to find out more about Joseph's rare condition via the charity website.
The purpose of raising money and awareness of this condition is so research can be carried out about the condition and to fund US medical professionals, who have more knowledge of the condition, to come over to the UK. As well as XXYY; I will also be raising money for 2 other charities which are important to me - Cancer Research and British Heart Foundation.
To raise money and awareness of 3 important charities to me; Between the 15th - 17th August, myself and a friend, Leigh are planning to ride to 10 football grounds in Kent over 3 days and covering over 200 miles. On each day, we will be cycling an average of 65-70 miles to get to each football ground. We will stay in different areas overnight and continue the journey the following days.
Along the way we aim to pick up a memento from each club whether that's a signed shirt or tickets before auctioning the items off to generate further funds. The clubs we will be riding to are Gillingham, Maidstone, Ebbsfleet, Dover, Dartford, Margate, Sheppey, Faversham, Folkestone & Tonbridge Angels.
I have been in discussions with the clubs we're riding to with the majority being on board. I hope you can assist us in providing support and awareness for 3 worthwhile causes. All financial contributions will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
