Kentucky Tornado Relief Fundraiser
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Kylie and I am organizing a fundraiser to help tornado victims in Western Kentucky. I am currently working as a physician in Nashville, TN. Most of middle TN was fortunate enough to not have suffered serious damage from the recent tornados, however people in neighboring states were not as lucky. Working full-time I am limited in how I can offer assistance to those in need; therefore I am organizing this fundraiser to provide monetary support to those who fell victims to these storms. It only takes a few seconds of seeing video footage for you to feel the urge to help as well!
As you'll see in the video, significant areas in Kentucky and bordering states were affected by this collection of tornados. Homes, grocery stores, gas stations, office buildings, factories and cherished historical buildings were leveled in the storm's path. In addition to the 74 who have lost their lives, 100 people are estimated to still be missing, an thousands are left without electricity, heat, or shelter. It will take a substantial amount of time and money for towns such as Mayfield, KY, to re-build, and for the survivors to get back on their feet.
As the holiday season is approaching and so many are left with nothing, please consider donating to this fundraiser. Even the smallest amount will be so greatly appreciated by those in need. 100% of the proceeds from my fundraiser will be donated to United Way of Kentucky, and 100% of the money donated to this organization will go to directly to tornado recovery efforts.
