Kenya Expedition with Camps International 2025

Hi my name is Lily Bates and I’m participating in an expedition to Kenya in 2025 with Camps International.

This will be a 4 week expedition and will include community development work, environmental projects and wildlife conservation. It will also include other elements including getting to know and working with the inspiring Mamas of the local village who will teach me traditional skills, meet the world famous Maasai Tribe and experience the magic of a safari at Tsavo East National Park.

The core objectives of this expedition are to undertake projects in order to:

-Raise the educational standards of developing communities within a rural district of Kenya

-Raise the living standards of developing communities within a rural district of Kenya

-Assist with ongoing wildlife conservation programs to preserve biodiversity and protect vulnerable habitats.

This expedition is very important to me as I feel I will acquire and develop many important life skills such as team work, independence and knowledge and experience beyond my home country.

I am really looking forward to experiencing the culture in Kenya and learning new skills from the local people. I am very excited to be offered the opportunity to take part in this expedition and it will involve great challenges, including being away from my family and friends for 4 weeks! I feel the benefits will far outweigh the challenges and the experience will stay with me for a lifetime.
