Donation protected
Hello everyone! My name is Kenyon Spotts and I am a graduating senior Cinema, Television, and Emerging Media Studies major at Morehouse College. As a senior, I must write, direct, and produce my own senior thesis film and with your help, I can bring it to life. My film, Thanatophonbia, is a culmination of my hard work over the last four years and I can’t wait to create it with your help. With the help of your donation, I will be able to use these funds for equipment, transportation, securing locations, and catering. This film has the possibility of not only being a successful short but also has the power to jumpstart my career in the entertainment industry! Each and every donation is much appreciated: everything counts! If you cannot donate, any form of support helps, including sharing this page on all social media platforms!
Incentives for donating include:

After experiencing the loss of his sister, a college student is influenced by a sinister individual and goes down a journey of self-destruction.
Why this story?
The only fear I’ve ever had is a fear of death. It’s such a looming threat and has the power to make life seem meaningless. Combined with the environmental, social, and political issues we currently deal with, death becomes an even scarier foe. Sometimes, it even emerges as a way out of the madness. We often run from the trials and tribulations of society through substance abuse, escapism, and often denial. For this story, I decided to look within not only myself, but some of my peers I’ve met at college. We are a group faced with stress from multiple avenues and with the combination of a global pandemic, this stress has only grown. I wanted to tell a story that encapsulates that feeling but also asks the question, what would you do if death stared you in the face? How would you react? What would it look like? Would you have the will to continue living despite the pain of it all? Overall, this story is a tale of me. A regular college student attempting to find meaning in life while facing the trials and tribulations of life.
