Hi I'm Rachel, Karen's daughter one of her 3 children.
Mum was diagnosed with both lung and pancreatic cancer back.in February 2022 sadly she was given only a few months to live.
Mum on the other hand decided that want long enough and had other plans. She still had so much to do like see myself walk down the isle and marry for the 1st time, go.on her first ever cruise with her partner see her grandson turn 18 and more importantly see the birth of her first great grand daughter who she sadly never got to meet.
Mums battled with all her strength and won for a long time despite no treatment.
Mums battle came to an end kn 22nd August 2024 after a very brief decline which we are great fully for that she didn't suffer for too long which is what she would have wanted.

Mum had made her mind up not to have a funeral as she found them too morbid as a life should be fully celebrated to the max so a party (with balloons) her request will take place at a later date.
In lou of the funeral as a family we have decided to set this up to help both macmillan support the families of people suffering from this hideous illness and Stewarton medical practice to help care for the community with the care and compassion they showed mum with every call and visit right to the very end.

We ask that you give what you can so that families like ours can have the support needed to stay strong and battle this with every fiber they have.
