Four Friends, four wheels, four thousand miles; from Land’s End to where the Stans end.
This summer, July/August, we’ll be driving a decrepit but dependable Peugeot 106 (and a motorbike) from our home in Cornwall to the farthest edge of Kazakhstan as part of the Mongol Rally.
The plan is to collect more than just mileage along the way; we’re making a film about our trip (potential breakdowns, bribes and border dramas and all). We’re also collecting donations for three charities we love:
Cool Earth
Based locally in Penryn, Cool Earth protects rainforests and supports Indigenous peoples with innovative climate solutions.
Mind, Cornwall
Mind provides one-on-one support and information for people managing a mental health crisis, or supporting someone who is.
CoppaFeel!
Founded in 2009 by Cornish twins Kris Hallenga and Maren, after Kris was diagnosed with incurable breast cancer at the age of 23. CoppaFeel! has been instrumental in raising awareness and encouraging young people to check their chests regularly and catch signs of breast cancer early.
Consider donating the price of your coffee or meal deal today to help us reach our total (and hopefully, Kazakhstan)!
