Kerry Dibble Post Surgery

Our Mom, Kerry Dibble, is having a surgical procedure to repair a hole in her head (feel free to insert your best joke here). She had a concerning spot on the skin high on her forehead, and after an initial trip to the dermatologist, this spot turned out to be cancer. Surgery will remove the cancer, and they will then be grafting skin to cover the spot. The Good News: The doctors at Jefferson are excellent and thorough, and we are hoping for a very positive outcome! The Less-Good News: this surgery will require her to rest while this skin graft heals, and it will likely be at least a month after surgery before she is allowed to go back to her part-time job. All of you can guess how happy Mom was to hear this news!

We’ve set up this Go Fund Me to allow folks to contribute to her living expenses while she recovers from this surgery. Any extra money will go towards additional medical costs not covered by her insurance. Please know that she’s appalled that we are doing this, but we have overruled her. Mom has spent much time over the years helping those of us in our extended family (and you know she considers many people her family, whether related by blood or not), and we think this is the time to invite people who are able to help her. We know there are so many people out there who care about Mom and would want to help.
