THE SITUATION
As many of you know my best friend Kerry Clifford was recently diagnosed with Colorectal cancer which has spread to her liver. It came on quite suddenly and has been a shock to Kerry, her family, and all who love her. In mid-September she began intense treatment at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center where she is working with a talented team of oncologists and surgeons in hopes of overcoming this major health challenge.
Because of the toll that the cancer and treatment are taking on her, Kerry has taken medical leave from work. It will be months before she might be able to return to a regular schedule. Not only does she miss her students and co-workers terribly but her income has dropped significantly.
WHAT WE ARE ASKING FOR
In order to help Kerry be able to focus on getting well and being present for her boys, we have started this fund in order to raise money to make her car payments for the next 6 months. We are all so grateful for the support that Kerry has received in the form of cards and flowers and meals and prayers and stickers on football helmets to this point. Kerry has been a vital part of our community, whether it's at Old South Church or at the football field with her incredible boys or on the road supporting some of Vermont's most needy community members. It is my hope that we as a community will now come together to remove some of the financial burden that this disease has created.
