Kesha Taylor-Jordan had the heart and lived the life of a servant, both personally and professionally. She had a passion for working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and, prior to working in the Michigan Child Support Program, she tirelessly worked as a domestic violence advocate for several years.
From 2013 until 2024, she expanded the scope of her passion to working with families at the Muskegon County Friend of the Court.
During her time at the Friend of the Court, she worked in several different roles, which allowed her to a have a positive impact on the families she served. In addition to the impact she made on the Muskegon community, she also made a huge impacted on the lives of many of her colleagues. She was the consummate professional when working with families, and always worked hard to “get to the root” of an issue in order to provide the most accurate information that she could to those who contacted the office. She always sought out additional training to make sure that she not only did the work, but understood it. She was a no-nonsense worker with a HUGE heart, and her smile, laugh, and presence will be missed.
Kesha’s co-workers will tell you that she always had time to listen, and could be counted on to provide honest feedback, and a shoulder to lean on.
As much as she will be missed by those in the child support program, Kesha will be doubly missed by her loving husband of 28 years, James Jordan II; their son’s De’Quarius and James III; and her grandchildren, Keilani and Dominic. This sudden and unexpected loss has left a void that they will never be able to fill.
Funds will go to Kesha’s family.
