Kessenich's S.O.S. Fund
Donation protected
This fund is 100% to raise money to help Madison restaurant workers who have been furloughed during the COVID-19 crisis. Funds raised will be dispersed to servers, bartenders, and Back-of-the-House employees who normally depend on tips for the majority of their income, or those who are not eligible to apply for unemployment.
HOW YOUR DONATIONS WILL HELP:
$50: pay a worker's utility bill
$100: help a worker pay their car insurance
$200: put food on the table for a worker's family
$500: help a worker pay their rent or mortgage
$1000: help 3-4 workers pay their bills
Restaurant workers take care of you during normal times when you can enjoy the abundance of great, local restaurants in Madison. Every little bit you can give will help take care of them now, so they can return to preparing and serving the amazing food and drink that Madison is known for!
Thanks to our media partners: Madison Magazine, channel3000.com, and WISCTV-3 for partnering with us on this effort!
The Madison Northside Planning Council will be our non-profit partner and will disperse monies collected through this fund fairly. Funds will be divided between restaurants who register their eligible employees with the fund manager at Kessenich's.
RESTAURANT OWNERS: HOW TO REGISTER YOUR EMPLOYEES? Please email [email redacted] to receive employee registration docs and Restaurant Owner Agreement to sign and return.
The Wisconsin Restaurant Association (WRA) has generously agreed to give Dining Gift Certificates that can be used at any of their member restaurants to the first 50 donors who give $100 or more to the fund!
