GETTING THERE . 14 out of 20 clubs visited so far ending at Egremont. About 160 miles so far.

Good progress with the walk and fundraising stands at almost £4200 with a target of £6000. We still have 80 miles with just Millom,Hawcoat Park, Furness, Windermere, Ambleside and finally home to Keswick.

Whilst I am not a Rugby player (or an ex-Rugby player) I have been a supporter of the Club for many years. Heather has been the First Aider for the men’s senior teams for the last 22 years. Our sons, Mark, Ian and John have all played for the first team with John captaining the side for 4 years. Now daughter Katie has been coaching the girls, including our Granddaughter Claudia, for the past 5 years. Claudia, now 15, plays for the Under 16 Falcons who have just won the County Cup, having been unbeaten all season.

The Club has done a fantastic job of raising funds for the £1.9 million pound project including £325,000 in grant funding from the Rugby Football Union recently announced.

This leaves just £115,000 of funding required to complete the project.

Anything I can raise will be matched by a very generous Keswick Old boy, up to a maximum of £100,000 and will also attract Gift Aid at 25% so every £1,000 would turn in to £2,250.
